Tofu Bhurji is Indian style tofu recipe. Tofu is scrambled with mashed onion, tomato and spices. It is basically used as replacement of cottage cheese or eggs. How to make Tofu Bhurji Recipe

  • Take 200g tofu scramble it, keep it aside
  • Take deep frying pan, heat oil at low flame.
  • Add cumin seed, allow it to turn brown.
  • Now add chopped green chilli, ginger and garlic to it.
  • Allow to cook for few seconds.
  • Add finely chopped onion and cook it it turns translucent.
  • Later, add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till it release water.
  • Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chilli powder and masala, stir properly until get mixed.
  • Take a potato masher, mash the above mixture till it turns into smooth paste.
  • Add scrambled tofu and stir well.
  • Season with salt and sauté 3-4 minutes.
  • Add finely chopped coriander leaves and stir them.
  • Lastly, now serve the Tofu Bhurji with bread or rotis or as side dish with rice recipes.

Notes

Taste salt in Tofu Bhurji at end, you might need to add some.
Masala (Spice) could be garam masala or pav bhaji masala.
